Recently, I had the opportunity to visit a dialysis clinic in Sapporo.

In this article, I would like to share my impressions of the facility without mentioning its name.

If you are looking for:

  • Dialysis in Sapporo🇯🇵

  • A quiet and comfortable dialysis environment🛏️

  • Greater privacy during your dialysis treatment👍

this may be one option worth considering.

Photos used in this article are published with the facility's permission.

1. A Clinic That Supports the Local Community🏥

The clinic I visited provides not only dialysis treatment but also internal medicine, cardiology, and nephrology services.

It also offers home medical care for patients who have difficulty visiting a clinic.

By providing a wide range of medical services, the clinic helps support the health and peace of mind of people in the local community.

For dialysis patients, having access to a medical environment where they can discuss not only dialysis treatment but also their overall health can provide additional reassurance.

During my visit, I felt that this was a clinic deeply connected to its community and committed to providing patient-centered care.

2. Convenient Access from Central Sapporo🚃

The nearest station is Nakajima-Koen Station on the Sapporo Municipal Subway Namboku Line.

The clinic is approximately a 10-minute walk from the station.🚶‍♂️

It is also conveniently located for visitors staying around Nakajima Park or the Susukino area.

Transportation after dialysis can also be an important consideration when traveling.

After a dialysis session, some people may prefer to take a taxi back to their hotel rather than walk.🚕

Because the clinic is located relatively close to the Nakajima Park area, taking a taxi can also be a convenient option.

Parking is also available, making the clinic accessible for visitors traveling by car.

3. The Highlight: Private Dialysis Rooms💖

One of the things that impressed me most during my visit was the fact that all dialysis rooms are private rooms.

A dialysis session can last for several hours.

For this reason, many people may prefer to spend that time in a quiet and comfortable environment.

all dialysis rooms are private rooms.

Privacy and Personal Space

A private room allows patients to spend their dialysis time without being surrounded by other patients.

For those who value privacy, this can provide a more comfortable and relaxing experience.

Private rooms may also make it easier to maintain distance from other patients during periods when infectious diseases are circulating.

A Hotel-Like and Sophisticated Private Space

When I entered the room, one of my first impressions was that it felt quite different from a typical hospital room.

The space was simple, sophisticated, and thoughtfully designed.

The walls have a bright and soft color, while the doors, flooring, and wall-mounted hanger feature warm wood tones.

The colors and materials are carefully coordinated, and the necessary equipment appears to be arranged in a functional and efficient way.

It is not overly decorative, yet it feels stylish and comfortable.

To me, it truly had a hotel-like atmosphere.

A wall-mounted television is positioned in front of the bed, and Wi-Fi is also available.

Because dialysis patients spend several hours in the treatment room, it is wonderful to have an environment designed not only for medical treatment but also for comfort and relaxation.

Evening Dialysis Available on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

The clinic also offers evening dialysis on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

This can be convenient for people who need dialysis after work.

For travelers visiting Sapporo, it may also offer greater flexibility.

For example:

Enjoy sightseeing during the day and receive dialysis afterward.

Having more flexibility when planning dialysis around a travel schedule can be very helpful.

4. My Overall Impression📝

From the moment I entered the facility, I was impressed by its clean, calm, and welcoming atmosphere.😍

The entrance and reception area also gave me the impression of a stylish hotel.

The location is convenient and accessible from central Sapporo.

Most importantly, the opportunity to receive dialysis in a completely private room is one of the facility's greatest attractions❣️

When arranging dialysis during a trip, it is important to consider more than just the medical treatment itself.

For example:

  • Is the environment comfortable and reassuring?

  • Is transportation convenient?

  • Can the dialysis schedule be coordinated with travel plans?

For people who would like to receive dialysis in a quiet and comfortable environment, or who value privacy during treatment, this may be an excellent option to consider.
